Now is the acceptable time, now is The Day of Salvation

Scripture says that God so loved the world, that He sent His Son Jesus and reversed the roles. The first Adam broke the law of God (Gen 3:6-7). The Last Adam (1Cor 15:45) kept the law of God, that on the Cross He might be broken for our brokenness and crushed for our iniquities.

In fact, God loves us so much that He did for us what we could never do for ourselves. He provided a bridge over which we can find His forgiveness and restore our relationship with Him. He built it by sending His Son to earth as one of us, and allowing Him to die on the cross to pay the death penalty we owed. Grace is free only because the Giver Himself has borne the cost.

But we also have a part to play in our salvation. We do this by humbly admitting to God that we have rebelled against Him and need His forgiveness and Lordship over our lives. This simple act of trust and obedience results in our sins being pardoned and our debts being paid.

Our relationship with God is firmly established, because we are immediately adopted into His family as His son and daughter. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” – Romans 10:9

If you have not yet begun your personal relationship with God, understand that the One who created you loves you no matter who you are or what you have done. Salvation is by grace, through faith. There is nothing you did, or ever can do, to deserve it. Salvation is a free gift from God. All you have to do is receive it!

Therefore, tell God that you are willing to trust Him for your salvation. You can tell Him in your own words or use this simple prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I believe I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to live every day for you in a way that pleases you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
